Scoop about a half cup of Coconut Butter into a small pot
Turn on the heat to a medium low to melt the coconut butter down, adding some cinnamon as it melts down. I don't measure here so use your own judgement. I wouldn't add more than about a teaspoon though.
Dump n the trail mix and stir it up as you go. You want a consistent mixture of trail mix and coconut butter. I will go a little less on the nuts since I can't handle too many nuts at once. So, use your own judgement on the amount.
Grab a couple sheets of wax paper and lay them out on the counter. using a spatula, scrape your goop onto one of the sheets and flatten it out with the other one. Use your hands or light pressure with a rolling pin. We're not looking for precision since these are going to be crammed into a pack anyway, so you could roll it into a log as it cools if you so desire.
Transfer the sheets to the refrigerator and wait until it hardens. Once it is hardened, cut it up with a knife into chunks for transport. I typically keep mine wrapped in the wax paper so it doesn't melt into other items if it does start to break down in extreme temps.
Enjoy! Coconut butter is a little bit dry but it is very tasty and great for an addition to a breakfast before a long day on the trail as the high fat will keep you going.
